I tried to change the port of L2 switch also, but no change, same problem then one of myįriends said that it may be cable strength is decreased.!!(I don't know Is the switchport assign to a vlan other than vlan 1 - Can you post the configuration of the I directly connected that main line to Pc, Then itĮven I connected directly, I can see in the network properties theĬonnection speed is reduced from 100Mbps to10 Mbps.
Have you tried hardcoding the speed/duplex settings of the switchport that connects to the router? When the switch is interconnected and you attach your pc to that switch you get obtain an ip address from the router? Was working before with the switch interconnected and now its just stopped or is this a new setup? cabling however 40 meters is well in the range for copper port mode or encapsulation mismatch ( needs to be a trunk not an access port) the switch port is taking long to go into a forwarding state for you to obtain an ip address I removed this wifi router and installed one tplink 5port Desktop switch,īut then also it is showing no internet access It is going to the internet port of wifi router. This ethernet cable is coming from our Cisco L2 switch port in IT Room and I tried to ping with google there was no delay. I didn't try to ping the server, but I can access the internet without any Possible because it is expensive.we are using only three devices at that The cable is installed around one-year before, Fiber extension is not im wracking my brain trying to figure this out, it was fine nothing touched or moved then it just seems like it will not connect to the network.When I connected this line to PC I can use the internet. so i went out replaced the cord, didnt work, bought a new nic, didnt work. if i disable the NIC card the problem persists, the only way to get that 2 minutes of internet it seems i have to restart both the modem and the computer. so what i did was restart the computer and the main modem and everything was fine! for 2 minutes and then it dropped again with the same message. The second floor pc works as intended no problem what so ever but the basement computer will not connect, the windows 10 status box says "no network access" also im connected to an unidentified network.
it is hooked up to the "main" modem in the basement and the other wired connection is on the second floor hooked into the wifi extender. everything was working fine until Yesterday morning (when i noticed it) and i've been stumped since, wifi is working as intended but one wired computer (of 2) does not work.
So i've had telus come out and set up some wired connections and wifi etc.
